Draughtsman Wendy Loefler was born in South Africa, arriving in Australia in 1976. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School in 2003. Her works are charcoal landscapes depicting the arid regions of Australia, which use line and density to portray the complexities of the desert landscape.  Her works have been exhibited in exhibitions in Sydney, the Gold Coast and internationally in the United Kingdom. In 2005 she won the Broken Hill Regional Gallery Outback Art Prize. Her work is held in collections in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Australia.
