Kerrie Lester

b. 1953 — 2016

Represented in Melbourne and Sydney by Australian Galleries, artist Kerrie Lester has been exhibiting her distinctive scenes of fleeting moments in everyday life, since the 1970’s. Overseas her works have been exhibited in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and The Australian Embassy, Paris. Closer to home her distinctive oil paintings were included in the Sydney Biennale as well as being held in numerous public galleries and prestigious corporate and government collections, including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, BHP Australia, and The Children’s Hospital, Westmead. Approaching 40 years as an exhibiting artist and with 31 solo exhibitions to her name, Kerrie Lester recently won the 2011 Mosman Art Prize, Sydney.
