The ‘Desert Channels’ is a large area of south-western Queensland which contributes to the immense area that is Australia’s great arid zone. This publication presents a series of works created by landscape painter Mandy Martin whilst visiting the area in 2009, alongside the reproduction of the artist’s works are extracts from her field journal and photographs from her experience.
