Grasslands – Glyphs
- G.W. Bot

“My studio is in the grasslands, west of Canberra. I have been living and working in this environment now for decades. At first I noticed things that lie on and under the grasslands – now I am noticing the grasses themselves – a myriad of different languages that whisper and dance in every direction. The grasses are home to many creatures, including the Little Eagle which now has become a rare and endangered species. All of this is under constant threat of development. I notice that we haven’t got the balance right between protection of the land and our constant destruction of it. This exhibition is of these grasslands.” G.W. Bot 2017

All prints were printed by the artist in her Canberra studio, BB Press. Bronze sculptures cast by Nick Stranks, Sculpture Workshop, School of Art, Australian National University, Canberra.
