Congratulations to Jimmy Rix and Greg Johns, finalists in the Montalto Sculpture Prize with their magnificent works, St George and the Dragon 2 and Monument to Jandamarra.
The Montalto Sculpture Prize is an annual acquisitive prize open to artists working in any medium and is open to the public at the Montalto Winery, 33 Shoreham Road, Red Hill South, Victoria.
The Montalto Sculpture Trail winds its way through the winery and its beautiful undulating backdrop provides a variety of settings for the diverse sculptural pieces on show. Visitors can find monumental works sited in open spaces through to more intimate pieces amongst the wetlands and vines. The Sculpture Trail exhibits a permanent collection of over 30 pieces, joined every February through to end of August by the Sculpture Prize Exhibition of Finalists.
The grounds at Montalto Vineyard & Olive Grove are open daily between 11am and 5pm.
