Raymond Arnold and Philip Davey – 2017 Hadley’s Art Prize Finalists

Congratulations to Raymond Arnold and Philip Davey, who have both been announced as Finalists in the 2017 Hadley’s Art Prize.

The Hadley’s Art Prize, Hobart is one of Australia’s richest landscape art awards. To be held annually, it celebrates painting, printmaking and drawing to reconnect with the history of art exhibitions at Hadley’s Orient Hotel and promote the work of contemporary Australian landscape artists.

Pictured above is Philip Davey’s entry, an oil painting entitled Colonial Landscape.

Pictured below is Raymond Arnold’s entry, an etching diptych measuring 80 x 145cm entitled Elsewhere World – Prospect/ Refuge II

2017 Exhibition
The winner of the Hadley’s Art Prize, Hobart and recipients of the Highly Commended Prizes will be announced at the opening of the exhibition of finalists’ artwork. This exhibition will be held in new custom-designed galleries which will be constructed at Hadley’s Orient Hotel. The People’s Choice Award will be announced in the final week of the exhibition.
