Sue Anderson – Wyndham Art Prize 2020

In News April 29, 2020

Congratulations to Sue Anderson who has been announced as a finalist in the 2020 Wyndham Art Prize for her work Suburban edge.

One of the last farm paddocks in Point Cook, this is where I lived, worked, raised a family and walked the periphery most days. While walking I relished observing the activities of the natural world around me and felt its precious balm. I also saw its fragility and watched with sadness the encroaching housing developments always coming closer, the sounds of the city getting louder.  Life was changing, time was going by, everything was in movement.

A painting can hold time still for a moment. This is a tribute to a special time and place.” – Sue Anderson, April 2020
