Colin Lanceley was an Australian artist known for his large three-dimensional paintings and for his drawing and printmaking. He has exhibited widely throughout Australia and New York and his works are held in public collections worldwide including the Tate, the National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. He was the inaugural chair of the advisory board of the National Art School and a board member of the National Gallery of Australia. In 1990 he received an Order of Australia.
