Around the edge, Kalorama 2024 was made at the edge of a black-water bush dam. It feels like the start of a longer project to make sense of this bewitching dam, in particular the pulse of life around its edge. It glimmers and moves, alive with insects, fish, birds and plant life. It reminds me of the most exquisite thing I have ever seen; a live image of a four cell embryo - four even simple shapes with a shimmering exterior, so simple, so profoundly beautiful.
