OPENING NIGHT Tuesday 28 April 6pm to 8pm
In Stillness offers a quiet yet powerful meditation on the ordinary. By focusing on everyday objects—fruit, flowers, vessels, and domestic arrangements—artists transform the familiar into something contemplative and enduring. Removed from their practical function, these objects become subjects of attention, inviting viewers to slow down and observe the subtleties of light, texture, balance, and form.
This exhibition explores still life as both a visual and philosophical language. Each work engages with the tension between presence and absence—objects that are physically still, yet rich with implied stories. Through these paintings, viewers are encouraged to reconsider the overlooked details of daily life and to find meaning within simplicity. In a fast-moving world, still life reminds us of the value of pause, attention, and the quiet resonance of the things that surround us.
