Queensland artist June Tupicoff presents the wonder of the Australian landscape through an intrinsic understanding of the complexity and subtlety of the country’s seasons. Fine detail juxtaposed with almost impressionistic abstraction create rich and compelling works that overload the senses.
Tupicoff has tutored in painting at both the Queensland University of Technology and Brisbane Art School. She has been a finalist in multiple art prizes including the Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and has completed two residencies at Hill End, NSW.
Tupicoff’s work is represented in numerous public and private collections including National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; QUT Art Museum, Brisbane; Artbank, Sydney; HOTA, Gold Coast; and Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, Townsville.
