Painter Neil Cuthbert was born in England and served in the British Navy between 1975 and 1991. He completed a Master of Fine Arts at COFA in 2000. His figurative expressionistic works depict caricatured figures in satirical scenes. Cuthbert has held solo exhibitions in Melbourne and Sydney. He was a finalist in the Sulman and Blake prizes in 2006. His work is held in the collection of the Newcastle Regional Gallery, NSW.
