'This work was made in the place I live closest to the Earth- where salt wind roughens my skin, where the ground keeps me barefoot and honest, where the sea and sky press in. In my South Coast studio I dig into the raw pulse of things, letting that force tear through me and settle into the bones of my making, in every scorched line, every welded seam, every form dragged into being.
What remains is the energy - caught, shaped and sharpened. These pieces are polished despite their feral beginnings, a rough, tender tribute to nature in all her fragile, devastation beauty.’
