OPENING NIGHT Tuesday 31 March 6pm to 8pm
Unique States showcases monotypes by Rosalind Atkins, Monique Auricchio, August Carpenter and Wayne Viney. A monotype is a one-off print, made by transferring ink from a plate onto paper, creating a unique image that can’t be exactly repeated. While the process is shared, the results are anything but.
This exhibition shows how different each artist’s approach can be. Through shifts in colour, tone and composition, each work reflects an individual way of working. Unique States celebrates both the spontaneity of the medium and the distinct vision behind every print.
