In this workshop hosted by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Belynda Henry, 2016 Archibald Prize finalist and four-time Wynne Prize finalist, will share her approaches to painting the landscape. Belynda will introduce you to simple gouache, watercolour and pastel techniques on paper, discuss compositions and colour combinations, and demonstrate simple ways to evoke colour, light and sense of place. Using works in the Gallery’s collection as a springboard for exploration and discussion, you’ll experiment and interpret your own personal experience of landscape. This workshop is designed for all levels of experience. All materials provided. Please bring an apron. Lunch can be bought at the Gallery, or bring from home.
