Congratulations to Nerissa Lea and Mary Tonkin who have been selected as finalists in the 2020 Calleen Art Award.
The Calleen Art Award is an acquisitive art prize that encourages originality and artistic merit, established in 1977 by Mrs Patricia Fagan OAM. The winning artwork will become part of the splendid Calleen Collection – the foundation collection of the Cowra Regional Art Gallery. The Award is a major Gallery event and a favourite annual exhibition with the Cowra district audiences and visitors to the region. This visitor recognition and its ongoing development as a nationally significant and prestigious art award for painting has also benefited from the support by the Calleen Trust, providing prize money of $20,000 in 2020.
The official opening and announcement of the award winner will be held on 4 October 2020 at Cowra Regional Art Gallery in New South Wales. The exhibition runs until 15 November 2020. Click here for more information.
