We are pleased to share that Winsome Jobling has been selected for the 2023 Artist in Residence program at Tactile Arts in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Tactile Arts is a member based, not-for-profit organisation that has been showcasing and promoting makers of contemporary art and craft in the top end of the Northern Territory since 1973. Their gallery and studios are located on the grounds of the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
Tactile Arts actively supports artists and craft practitioners at every stage of their careers by providing access to multiple platforms from which to develop skills both creatively and professionally.
The Tactile Arts Artist in Residence program is the longest running Artist in Residence program in the Northern Territory. It supports artists and artisans to develop their practice by providing a dedicated studio space, use of the gallery to mount an exhibition, plus a financial contribution towards exhibition costs. The studio space is made available for a period of three to six months and is open to the public.
