OPENING NIGHT Tuesday 1 July 6pm to 8pm
Among the Trees brings together works by nine Australian artists whose practices reflect a deep sensitivity to the natural world, specifically highlighting the complexity and presence of trees. From the movement of branches to the play of light through leaves and the intricate textures of bark, each piece offers a unique interpretation of the connection to and reverence for nature.
Featuring paintings, prints, works on paper, and bronze sculptures drawn from the Australian Galleries’ stockroom, the exhibition celebrates the quiet majesty of the arboreal form.
Exhibiting artists: John Anderson, Rosalind Atkins, Michelle Hiscock, Kyoko Imazu, Tim Jones, Stephanie Jane Rampton, Mary Tonkin, Ian Westacott and Christine Wrest-Smith
