OPENING NIGHT Tuesday 3 June 6pm – 8pm
“This collection of images in the exhibition nearby are bringing together three elements, the season, the space and the light, all coming together to equal one answer: “nature”.
Photographing nature, especially landscapes, for me is to capture the beauty and that one moment. Often, I will go back to the same location, and I will shoot the same spot in different seasons and alternating the times of day and night to show how the landscape is constantly changing without physically moving.”
– Oliver Cole 2025
Oliver Cole’s photographs are richly atmospheric. Rather than presenting a descriptive outline of the landscape, his minimal compositions evoke an emotional response and allow space for the viewer to contemplate. Deftly exploring space, light and form, he presents images of West Central Victoria that are poetic and engaging.
