Jennifer Keeler-Milne – Finalist in The Kings School Art Prize, 2022

Congratulations to artist Jennifer Keeler-Milne who has been selected as a finalist in the 2022 Kings School Art Prize.

The Kings School Art Prize is an annual acquisitive prize awarded to a leading Australian artist represented by a commercial gallery.

Since 1994, The Kings School have maintained an interest in expanding and developing the opportunities for contemporary Australian artists while supporting the growth of the commercial art scene.

Entry to the prestigious twenty thousand dollar prize is by invitation only and is awarded to the artist who creates the ‘best’ work of contemporary art as judged by a select art prize panel.

The winner will be announced on Friday May 20th.

Jennifer Keeler-Milne’s growing acclaim is attested to her distinctive oil painted landscapes and large scale charcoal drawings.  She explores an intricate practice rooted in traditional oil painting techniques to create distinctive landscapes, infused with mysticism and beauty, a reflection of her connection and respect for the natural world.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art form The Victorian College of the Arts as well as a Masters in Art Administration.  As a former museum educator at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and university lecturer at The University of Technology, Sydney, University of Sydney and The National Art School, Jennifer now runs and operates her own drawing school.

Jennifer has held numerous solo exhibitions in Sydney, Hong Kong and Paris and has been a regular finalist in the Dobell Drawing Prize as well as the Kedumba Drawing Award, Fleurieu Peninsula Art Prize, Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize, The Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize and was awarded the Fred Williams Family Prize in 1991.  Her works are held in the permanent collections of The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Art Bank and The Victorian College of the Arts.
