Raymond Arnold’s major work, Elsewhere world (Final consolidated A–H) exhibited at Geelong Gallery
The gallery have recently been gifted the 8-panel suite of etchings Elsewhere world (Final consolidated A–H), 2018 through the generous support of the Colin Holden Charitable Trust. The monumental work reflects the artist’s fascination with the Australian landscape – its intricacy, power and fragility – and his mastery of the print medium. It will be exhibited in the Richardson Gallery alongside Raymond’s earlier four-part etching Transcend the dripping rock beyond the fall I–IV, 1990, which was also acquired with the support of Dr Colin Holden and additional donors in 2006 and 2011. The Richardson Gallery is dedicated to the display of prints in memory of Dr. Colin Holden.
The exhibition runs at Geelong Gallery from 30 November 2019 to 16 February 2020. For more information, click here.
Join Raymond and Senior Curator, Lisa Sullivan, in conversation on Thursday 6 February 2020, from 6pm – 7.30pm. This is a free event, but bookings are essential. To register your interest in attending, click here.
