A huge congratulations to Rodney Pople who was selected as a finalist for the Glover Prize 2021.

Celebrating the legacy of John Glover, The John Glover Art Prize (Glover Prize) has become one of Australia’s most significant awards for landscape painting, open to artists from anywhere in the world. It is awarded annually by The John Glover Society Inc. for the work judged the best contemporary landscape painting of Tasmania.

‘Liffy Falls’ is from a contemporary series on Tasmanian rain forests with some non-native imagery. The crystal clear waterfall is surrounded by cobalt green myrtle, towering eucalypts and massive tree ferns giving over a lush green hue with dappling light.“— Rodney Pople

The exhibition of finalists’ paintings was held over the March long-weekend in the historic Falls Park pavilion in Evandale, a village on the beautiful northern plains of Tasmania.
