These stunning images are some of the rehearsal shots from a new theatre work ‘Taking the Waters’ by Lemony’s Puppet Theatre with intricate shadow puppets by talented artist Kyoko Imazu.
“It’s been indescribably rewarding, challenging and beautiful to work with the incredible team. It examines a complex world of three sisters who gathered together after many years apart. One of them is dying. Old patterns of behaviour play out, old wounds re-exposed and ultimately a new reality where three becomes two must be found. This new work combines live performance, sung voice, Bunraku puppets and object theatre with multilayered shadow scenes,” says Imazu
