Annette Bezor 1950 – 2020
All of us at Australian Galleries have a great sense of loss of the beautiful, highly intelligent, gifted and most warm soul in darling Annette.
Time spent with her on visits to her studio and on her visits to her exhibitions at the galleries in Melbourne and Sydney were truly rewarding.
It was her optimistic spirit, her clear and real belief in how life worked for her, her unwavering devotion to her work with its clear support, respect and admiration for women and their unsung power from her first picture to her last.
Her care for and of her mother was heartfelt.
She can’t be replaced but she can be remembered for the joy she gave us and for the significant contribution she made to this nation’s cultural wellbeing. Quite the girl!!!!” Stuart Purves, 2020
