For the Love of DOG
Exhibition dates: 24 March – 14 May
Deborah Williams has several works featured in the upcoming exhibition For the Love of DOG at Manning Regional Gallery.
One of the oldest friends of humans, and one of the earliest animals depicted in art, the dog has been a constant throughout human history.
The dog may be the star of the show, or a silent body in the background, symbolising protection, loyalty or generosity. This exhibition highlights the range of portrayals of the humble dog by Australian artists, featuring paintings, limited edition prints, drawings and sculpture.
Participating artists: Michael Bell, Geoff Harvey, Stephen Bird, Penny Ruthberg, Robbie Crane, Zoe Tweedale, Michelle Dawson, Emily Valentine, Jane Grealy and Deborah Williams
