Works on Paper and Ceramics
- Garry Shead

Garry Shead has that rare ability to make an image, which simultaneously, on one level, is deeply personal, yet on another level, possesses a universal appeal and has a meaning which each individual viewer will discover for themselves.’ – Emeritus Professor Sasha Grishin, AM FAHA

Garry Shead is one of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary figurative artists, whose work is rich in allegory and symbolism, inviting contemplation of spiritual, philosophical, and historical themes.

Works on Paper and Ceramics showcases a series of Shead’s distinctive etchings, ceramics, lithographs and drawings, including early works the 1980’s and recent pieces made this year.
