Glenda Orr’s first exhibition with Australian Galleries showcases the artist’s immense technical skill, her strong social consciousness and deep reverence for the natural world. Orr’s major current concern is the threat from coal mining to the Bimblebox Nature Refuge in the central Queensland Galilee basin.

This exhibition presents two major series of works; the Bimblebox Skymap series of etchings with blind embossing and paintings in sap, and a series of constructed axe-based landscapes which involve repeated bleed print etchings, including the monumental six metre long Monoculture and Offsetting suites of etchings.
