Glenn Morgan

b. 1955

Glenn Morgan’s somewhat whimsical paintings and sculptures are bright, bustling scenes of figures and movement. His works have a strong local flavour and while often humorous, are keenly observed and socially aware. Glenn’s three dimensional pieces are rendered in wood, metal, wire, screws and paint and often include handles and levers the viewer can turn and manipulate to literally bring the scenes to life. Glenn completed a Diploma of Fine Art at the Warrnambool Institute of Advanced Education and his Postgraduate studies in Printmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts. His work is held in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra; Museum of Contemporary Art, Brisbane; Museum of Victoria and the Maritime Museum, Victoria; as well as in several Regional Galleries.
